About The Position

MinuteClinic, part of CVS Health, is hiring a per-diem Family Nurse Practitioner for a clinic-based role focused on high-quality, in-person patient care. Providers may also conduct virtual visits from the clinic during lower onsite patient volume, provided this does not delay or interfere with in-person care. The role offers clinical and organizational support, evidence-based guidelines and tools, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional development. Charting and follow-up are completed during scheduled shifts.

The Family Nurse Practitioner delivers primary and family care to patients and communities, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. The position also includes diagnostic testing, preventive counseling, injury and illness treatment, wellness services, chronic disease management, preventive screenings, and coordination with other healthcare professionals. Clinic operations include inventory management, opening and closing the clinic, patient follow-up, insurance verification, payment collection, routine examinations, and timely appointment management.

Weekend availability is required on both Saturdays and Sundays. Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification through AANP or ANCC.
• Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner/APRN license in good standing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain multi-state licensure based on business needs.
• Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
• Ability to order and administer vaccines and injections, including COVID-19, influenza, TB testing, and Depo-Provera.
• Complete a DOT certification exam within 30 days of employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to pass a respirator FIT test.
• Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.
• Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to perform Basic Life Support.
• Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays.

Nice To Haves

• One year of Nurse Practitioner experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
• Bilingual proficiency, depending on market needs.
• Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
• Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation if provider experience is less than one year.
• Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
• Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.
