About The Position

The Utah Valley Family Medicine residency program is seeking a full-time Faculty Physician to join their team. This ACGME accredited program aims to train well-rounded family physicians with a mission focused on personal growth, community service, and clinical excellence. As a faculty physician, you will teach, supervise residents, and provide patient care in both outpatient and hospital settings, including adult medicine, obstetrics, and newborn care. The role involves a competitive salary, paid on teaching rather than production, with a typical work week including clinic half-days, precepting half-days, and administrative time. A reasonable call schedule is in place, with additional pay for weekend inpatient coverage, call shifts, and after-hours obstetrical deliveries.

Requirements

MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
ABMS board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
Active, unrestricted Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
ACLS, BLS certification.
Active, unrestricted DEA.
Ability to be credentialed through Intermountain and obtain active privileges at Utah Valley Hospital in Family Medicine with Obstetrics.

Responsibilities

Provide academic services to IHCHS.
Teach and supervise residents.
Provide patient care in the outpatient clinic (Merrill Gappmayer Family Medicine Center).
Provide patient care in the hospital (adult medical, obstetrical and newborn patients).
Participate in a reasonable call schedule, including inpatient medicine coverage.
Perform after-hours obstetrical deliveries.
