The Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth Health Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a Core Faculty member to join their growing team. This is a community-based 6-6-6 Family Medicine residency located in a rural regional referral center affiliated with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. The program is expanding its faculty team as it continues to grow, with the third class of 6 residents starting July 2026. The ideal candidate will be passionate about practicing and teaching full-scope family medicine, making a lasting impact on a new program. Opportunities for leadership, professional growth, and development, along with a strong community connection, are available. The successful candidate will provide direct clinical care, supervise residents in various clinical settings, and contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement. Osteopathic candidates are encouraged to apply, with the potential to help build the osteopathic curriculum. The program's success is grounded in Cheshire’s GME Vision: A caring educational community that trains graduate physicians who will serve all patients with high-quality, patient-centered medical care and collaborate across disciplines to meet the broader health needs of the community. The Core Faculty member will play a significant role in resident education and supervision, including teaching, evaluating, and providing formative feedback. Additionally, the Core Faculty member will develop and care for a patient panel within the residency practice at the Family & Community Care Center, which aims to meet community needs, including caring for marginalized individuals. The program has a specific focus on the care of the rural LGBTQ+ community. Faculty are eligible for an academic appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. This program is particularly interested in candidates who will enhance the community's diversity and excellence through their teaching, scholarship, and/or service. Cheshire Medical Center, Dartmouth Health, and the Geisel School of Medicine are committed to fostering a diverse workforce.
