About The Position

The Multicare Omak Rural Training Program is seeking a Core Faculty Family Physician to join their dedicated educational team in Omak, Washington. This role combines direct primary care with graduate medical education, focusing on shaping a high-quality rural residency track. The practice includes outpatient care at Family Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), and inpatient and obstetrics care at Mid Valley Hospital, a critical access hospital serving a large geographic region.

Requirements

• Board-Certified/Eligible MD or DO in Family Medicine.
• Eligible for a Washington State Medical License.
• Strong skills in outpatient medicine, prenatal/OB care, and office-based procedures.
• Passion for graduate medical education.
• Commitment to underserved populations.
• Desire to teach the "hidden curriculum" of rural resourcefulness and progressive autonomy.

Nice To Haves

• Surgical OB and inpatient hospitalist capabilities are highly welcomed but optional.

Responsibilities

• Manage own panel and precept residents at Family Health Centers.
• Deliver babies and manage care at Mid Valley Hospital.
• Provide direct patient care (adult, pediatric, prenatal, and procedural care, including LARCs and buprenorphine/MAT).
• Supervise residents on the labor deck and manage admissions.
• Teach in the clinic, offering real-time feedback, and modeling rural clinical reasoning.
• Dedicate hours to curriculum design, leading procedure workshops, resident mentorship, and QI projects.
