About The Position

Ascension Medical Group Via Christi is hiring a full-time Family Medicine Physician in Wichita, Kansas. The role is in an outpatient practice within an established team of five physicians and three advanced practice providers, with a 1:8 call structure and access to support staff. This is an employed position within a nonprofit health system. The physician will provide high-quality, patient-centered care through accurate diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. They will collaborate with care teams to support seamless patient transitions, including discharge planning, advance quality and cost-effective care initiatives, and maintain timely, accurate documentation for clinical care, compliance, and reimbursement. The facility is a large multispecialty physician group serving a population of approximately 660,000, with an integrated referral network. It is part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system. The job location is designated as a Health Professional Shortage Area and/or Medically Underserved Area/Population.

Requirements

MD or DO degree.
Physician credentialed by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts before the hire date or job transfer date.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration.
