About The Position

The Family Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive primary care to patients aged 12 and older, primarily serving a geriatric population. The role is based in an outpatient clinic in Saint Stephen, South Carolina, with an average volume of approximately 20 patients per day. Coverage begins December 16, 2026, and continues ongoing. The schedule is day shifts, eight hours per shift, four shifts per week. This locum tenens position is backfilling an FTE. Hospital privileges are not required; credentialing takes approximately 60 days, and temporary privileges are available.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine (ABFM).
• Active South Carolina medical license required.
• Active DEA and CSR.
• Clean background and no malpractice claims required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients aged 12 and older.
• Manage approximately 20 patients per day in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Perform routine physical exams and diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.
• Coordinate patient care through referrals and follow-up as needed.
• Document patient encounters and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
