About The Position

The National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for a role focused on wound management in post-acute care settings. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and a strong work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management through training from highly qualified, wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors, utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. The practice involves bedside wound care in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals, with physicians conducting weekly wound rounds. Clinical documentation is performed in real-time using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. Paid training is provided during onboarding, along with a 6-month wound care fellowship. This is a W2 employment contract.

Requirements

Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice
Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

Provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states.
Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting.
Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
Perform clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
