About The Position

Skilled Wound Care, a premier national physician group, is hiring Family Medicine Physicians in Nashville, TN to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. The role involves performing surgical debridement and other bedside procedures, with full training provided. It offers an escape from rushed visits, overbooked schedules, and endless prior authorizations, allowing for clinical autonomy where you direct patient outcomes based on your clinical expertise. Custom software is designed to slash admin time, enabling you to finish charting at a reasonable hour. You will maintain the continuity of care and watch your patients heal.

Requirements

Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
Open Background: We welcome Family Medicine physicians, as well as Internal Medicine physicians and surgeons of all backgrounds.
No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
