About The Position
Skilled Wound Care is hiring Family Medicine Physicians in Arlington, VA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This role offers a no-call, Monday–Friday physician job with clinical autonomy, opportunities to perform hands-on procedures, and a custom software designed to reduce administrative time. The position allows for continuity of care and the chance to see patients heal.
Requirements
- Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
- DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
- Open Background: We welcome Family Medicine physicians, as well as Internal Medicine physicians and surgeons of all backgrounds.
- No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
Responsibilities
- Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
- Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
- Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
- Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
