About The Position

One Medical is hiring a Family Medicine Physician for a hybrid, full-time role based at its Cow Hollow office in San Francisco. One Medical provides in-office and virtual primary care, on-site labs, and programs for preventive care, chronic care management, common illnesses, and mental health concerns. The company joined Amazon in February 2023 and describes its mission as making quality care more affordable, accessible, and enjoyable. The typical 40-hour weekly schedule includes 24 hours of in-office patient care, 8 hours of remote virtual patient care, and 8 hours for a remote, non-patient-facing day. Remote care days and work schedules may change based on utilization and business discretion. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance may be available. The physician will manage a diverse patient panel and provide acute, chronic, and wellness care in offices and testing centers, with occasional telehealth visits. The role includes collaboration with in-office and virtual clinical teams, participation in weekly Clinical Rounds, use of clinical training to perform in-office procedures, and supervision of one or more nurse practitioner or physician assistant colleagues. The role requires California licensure before starting, and candidates must be board certified in Internal or Family Medicine or board eligible with plans to obtain certification within one year of starting.

Requirements

Be enrolled in or have completed an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program.
Have practiced at least 2 of the last 5 years in an outpatient primary care setting.
Be board certified in Internal or Family Medicine, or board eligible with plans to obtain board certification within 1 year of the One Medical start date.
Hold a California state license before the One Medical start date.
Demonstrate a passion for human-centered primary care.
Successfully communicate with and provide care to individuals of all backgrounds.
Effectively use technology to deliver high-quality care.
Demonstrate clinical proficiency in evidence-based primary care.

Responsibilities

Manage a patient panel with a broad array of patient needs, conducting acute, chronic, and well visits.
Treat patients in-office or in testing centers and conduct occasional telehealth visits.
Participate in weekly Clinical Rounds and pursue continuous learning through other modalities.
Collaborate with in-office teammates through daily huddles and with virtual clinical teams.
Use specific clinical training and perform in-office procedures as appropriate.
Supervise one or more NP or PA colleagues.
