About The Position

DocStar Medical Partners is seeking a Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) or Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Northern California. This is an outpatient role with a minimum assignment length of 3 months, with options for 6-month extensions. The provider will manage a patient volume of 18-20 patients per day, focusing on complex cases including chronic care and pain management. The ability to work autonomously and perform outpatient procedures is highly valued. The position requires a California license, DEA, BLS certification, and Board Certification. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required, with a preference for experience in rural health settings.

Requirements

MD/DO or NP/PA license in California.
DEA certification.
BLS certification.
Board-Certified.
Minimum of 3 years of experience.
Experience working in rural health settings.
Comfortable prescribing Schedule II medications.
Experience with EPIC EMR system is a plus.
3 professional references within the last 2 years for credentialing.
Up to date on all immunizations.

Nice To Haves

Experience with outpatient procedures: Pap Smears, Joint Injections, Nexplanon, Suturing, I&D.
Experience with EPIC EMR system.

Responsibilities

Manage an average of 18-20 patients per day, with a minimum of 8-9 patients per 4-hour block.
Handle complex patient cases, including chronic care and pain management.
Prescribe Schedule II medications.
Perform outpatient procedures such as Pap Smears, Joint Injections, Nexplanon insertion/removal, Suturing, and Incision & Drainage (I&D) - these are a plus but not mandatory.
Work autonomously and independently.
Complete credentialing within 3-4 weeks.
Ensure all required immunizations are up to date or wear a mask all day in the clinic.
