Family Medicine-NP/PA
About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Crescent City, CA. The role is in an outpatient setting, providing supplemental coverage for a clinical-only role. The coverage period is ASAP and ongoing, with a shift schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The provider will work 4 weeks per month on a full-time basis, seeing an average of 18 patients per day. The patient demographics include both pediatric and adult patients. The provider will be supported by 1 RN and 2 MAs. Duties include assessing and evaluating patient healthcare needs, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, managing patient care, and other related tasks. The EMR system used is Epic, and chart closure is expected within 72 hours. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Active CA License
- BC/BE
- BLS & PALS, CPR
- DEA
- At least 3 yrs of experience in a similar setting (panel mgmt)
- Experience with Chronic Pain Management
- Current Immunizations (Flu Vaccine, TB Status/X-Ray etc)
