About The Position

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is expanding its primary care division and seeking a part-time Physician Assistant (PA) for its Hazleton, PA location. This practice currently includes 2 Physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs). The practice operates Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Call is rotated among clinicians in the region and is initially triaged by nurses. Patient visit durations vary, with 40 minutes allocated for new patients, child wellness/preventative, wellness/preventative for ages 46+, TOC, and medical clearances, and 20 minutes for wellness/preventative for ages 45 and under, return patients, and acute visits. Full-time is defined as 36 patient-facing hours, with part-time being considered proportionally. LVHN offers a supportive environment with a variety of practice settings, flexible scheduling, free scribe services, and an integrated care team. PAs in this role will manage their own patient panels and assist with acute and follow-up visits as needed. Opportunities for teaching NP and PA students are available. Requirements

A Valid PA Medical License or ability to obtain one is required.
2+ years of experience as a clinician in Family Medicine/Urgent Care/Emergency Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide care for their own patient panel.
See additional acute and follow up patients from the practice, as needed.
Participate in a rotated call schedule with other practices in the region, which goes to nurse triage first.
Teach nurse practitioner and physician assistant students, if interested.
