Family Medicine Physician Assistant
About The Position
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is hiring a Family Medicine Physician Assistant for its primary care division. The practice is located in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, and has three physicians and one advanced practice clinician. The practice is open Monday through Friday. Full-time work is considered 36 patient-facing hours per week; part-time is also being considered. The Physician Assistant provides care for their own patient panel and sees additional acute and follow-up patients from the practice as needed. Patient appointment slots are 40 minutes for new patients, child wellness/preventive visits, wellness/preventive visits for patients aged 46 and older, transitions of care, and medical clearances. Slots are 20 minutes for wellness/preventive visits for patients aged 45 and under, return visits, and acute visits. Call is shared with other practices in the region, is rotated among regional clinicians, and goes to nurse triage first. The role offers a flexible Monday–Friday schedule, free scribe services, and onsite and remote care-team support. Opportunities to teach nurse practitioner and physician assistant students are available for clinicians who are interested. Requirements
- Hold a valid Pennsylvania medical license or be able to obtain one.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of experience as a clinician in Family Medicine, Urgent Care, or Emergency Medicine is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for an assigned patient panel.
- See additional acute and follow-up patients from the practice as needed.
- Participate in a regional call rotation; calls go to nurse triage first.
- May teach nurse practitioner and physician assistant students, if interested.
