About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring Family Medicine Physicians in Los Angeles, CA to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a refreshing alternative to traditional primary care, focusing on hands-on procedures and clinical autonomy without the corporate red tape. The position is a no-call, Monday-Friday job that allows physicians to escape packed clinic schedules, after-hours patient messages, and productivity targets. Physicians will use the latest advancements in wound healing, perform surgical debridement and other bedside procedures, and benefit from comprehensive training. The company utilizes custom software designed to reduce administrative time, allowing for a better work-life balance. This role emphasizes continuity of care and allows physicians to directly impact patient outcomes.

Requirements

Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
Open Background: We welcome Family Medicine physicians, as well as Internal Medicine physicians and surgeons of all backgrounds.
No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
