About The Position

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a physician assistant to join its growing primary care division at a family medicine practice in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. The practice has three physicians and one advanced practice clinician and is open Monday through Friday. Full-time work is considered 36 patient-facing hours; part-time is also considered. The physician assistant will provide care for their own patient panel and see additional acute and follow-up patients from the practice as needed. Patient appointments are scheduled for 40 minutes for new patients, child wellness/preventative visits, wellness/preventative visits for patients age 46 and older, transitions of care, and medical clearances. Appointments are 20 minutes for wellness/preventative visits for patients age 45 and under, return patients, and acute visits. Call is shared with other practices in the region, with calls going first to nurse triage. The role offers a flexible Monday-to-Friday schedule, free scribe services, and onsite and remote care-team support. Clinicians may have opportunities to teach nurse practitioner and physician assistant students. Requirements

A valid Pennsylvania medical license or the ability to obtain one is required.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of experience as a clinician in family medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide care for an assigned patient panel.
See additional acute and follow-up patients from the practice as needed.
Participate in call shared with other practices in the region; calls go to nurse triage first.
Teach nurse practitioner and physician assistant students, if interested.
