About The Position
MUSC Health is seeking a full-time, board-eligible or board-certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join MUSC Health Primary Care in Bamberg, South Carolina. The position offers the opportunity to build a career within an academic health system while helping improve access to rural healthcare. MUSC supports primary care physicians through ongoing education, mentorship, leadership development, and clinical resources. The practice averages 20–25 patients per day and includes two experienced Physician Assistants and dedicated support staff. The physician will serve a diverse patient demographic and work with experienced Advanced Practice Providers. The clinic schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. MUSC Health is South Carolina’s leading academic health system, integrating patient care, research, and education across a statewide network. The position is based in Bamberg, a small town with access to Charleston, Columbia, and Augusta, along with local schools, parks, and recreation facilities.
Requirements
- Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Unrestricted South Carolina medical license.
- Federal and state controlled-substance registration.

Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to patients in the Bamberg community.

- Use Epic EHR and integrated AI-enabled documentation and workflow tools to support clinical care and reduce administrative burden.
