About The Position

Northside Hospital's Family Medicine Program is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine-OB Faculty Member to join their growing team. The Family Medicine Residency has expanded to 24 residents, reflecting the program's success. The faculty consists of Doctors of Osteopathic and Allopathic Medicine committed to providing residents and fellows with high-quality clinical experience and medical training. This role involves participating in the gynecological and obstetrical training for Family Medicine residents, requiring the faculty member to be credentialed to teach and perform these duties.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Family Medicine
  • Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Licensed and eligible to practice in Georgia
  • Unrestricted DEA Registration
  • Membership in good standing on the Gwinnett Hospital System Medical Staff

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of teaching experience and experience in graduate medical education administration
  • 2 years' experience in family medicine education
  • Previous administrative role in a family medicine residency program
  • Advanced knowledge of clinical ultrasound use in musculoskeletal medicine

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the gynecological and obstetrical training required for residents of Family Medicine training programs.
  • Teach and perform duties related to obstetrics and gynecology for residents.
  • Provide ambulatory and inpatient care.
  • Provide procedural training for fellows and residents.
