Our specialties include Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Sports Medicine, Rheumatology, OB/GYN, and Urgent Care. Providers are supported by a strong operational infrastructure while retaining meaningful clinical autonomy, allowing them to focus on what matters most: delivering exceptional care, building lasting relationships, and making a meaningful impact in the communities they serve. We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Family Medicine team at Atrium Health One Health Mount Island. This position will provide high-quality, comprehensive primary care during extended weekend hours, expanding access and providing greater flexibility for patients and families in the Mount Island community. Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. This unique three-day schedule offers the opportunity to provide full-spectrum family medicine while helping One Health expand convenient access to primary care.
Requirements
- Passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered primary care.
- Comfortable caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic healthcare needs.
- Experienced in Family Medicine, Primary Care, or a related outpatient setting.
- Committed to working the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday extended-hours schedule.
- Dedicated to collegiality, professionalism, compassion, personal growth, and leadership development.
- Interested in practicing within a collaborative, provider-led organization that values clinical autonomy and team-based care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered family medicine care across a broad spectrum of ages, disease states, and chronic conditions.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries within the scope of outpatient family medicine.
- Manage chronic conditions and provide preventive care, health screenings, and patient education.
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical practices.
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, clinical team members, and other healthcare professionals as appropriate.
- Support continuity of care through appropriate follow-up, referrals, and care coordination.
- Utilize One Health and Advocate Health resources, technology, and clinical support services to enhance patient care.
- Contribute to a collaborative practice environment that values clinical expertise, teamwork, and an exceptional patient experience.
