About The Position

18 Degrees is seeking a Family Liaison for their Kids 4 Harmony program in Pittsfield. This role involves supporting students in grades 3-12 to learn social-emotional skills and participate in a music ensemble. The position offers flexible hours, up to 18 hours per week. 18 Degrees is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness in supporting the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate aspects of the social emotional learning curriculum materials, incorporating best practices such as motivational interviewing, growth mindset, and mindfulness.
• Conduct small skill-building groups with students.
• Support the program overall by integrating classroom management techniques and social-emotional skill-building.
• Coordinate efforts with both the Pittsfield and North Adams programs.
• Connect families to resources and support child development.
• Prepare students to be resilient and skilled musicians, as well as future graduates.
• Attend community meetings as directed and build relationships with community partners.
• Support with written materials such as the newsletter, some grant reporting, and data management.
