Family Law Attorney
About The Position
The Law Office of Bryan Fagan is hiring a Family Law Attorney for its Dallas/Fort Worth/Rockwall offices. The attorney will handle family law matters from intake through final decree, with marketing, intake, billing, and operations support allowing the attorney to focus on casework and advocacy. The role includes managing contested and uncontested cases, representing clients in surrounding counties and courts, and providing compassionate, results-driven counsel. The attorney manages their own schedule, with performance measured against an annual standard of 1,500 billable hours; monetary rewards are available for hours exceeding that standard.
Requirements
- Hold a valid Texas bar license for at least 2 years.
- Have at least 2 years of dedicated Texas family law litigation experience.
- Demonstrate courtroom advocacy and ability to manage a high-impact docket under pressure.
- Be highly organized and experienced in family law hearings and estate or guardianship proceedings.
- Have experience with initial consultations and drafting pleadings and discovery.
- Be proficient in Clio, TxDoc, Google Suite or similar software, and modern e-filing systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead contested and uncontested divorces, child custody cases, adoptions, SAPCRs, modifications, protective orders, and other family law matters.
- Represent clients in surrounding counties and courts.
- Take depositions, handle mediations, and serve as first-chair trial counsel.
- Guide clients through difficult family matters with compassionate, results-driven representation.
- Manage a family law docket from intake through final decree.
- Prepare pleadings and discovery, and handle family law hearings and estate or guardianship proceedings.
- Manage a personal work schedule and meet the annual 1,500-hour billable standard.
