About The Position

Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, LLP is seeking a talented Family Law Associate Attorney to join their award-winning Family Law team. This is a mid-sized law firm headquartered in San Diego, California, recognized for its U.S. News – Best Lawyers® 'Best Law Firms' rankings. The Family Law team is recognized as one of the Best Firms for Family Law. The Associate Attorney will handle a broad spectrum of matters, including divorce, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, child support modifications, and more. They will manage all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and representing clients in court. This role offers an excellent platform for professional growth, as the attorney will collaborate closely with experienced partners who will provide mentorship as they take on challenging cases.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience handling family law litigation matters, preferably in San Diego.
  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing, researching, and drafting briefs and other pleadings addressing sophisticated legal issues in complex family law matters.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently while also collaborating with team members.
  • Client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission to the California State Bar required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preparing for, taking, and defending depositions.
  • Experience briefing and arguing discovery and dispositive motions.
  • Experience attending mediations.
  • Experience interfacing with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Trial experience is a plus.
