Family Intervention Specialist

Youth Villages•Johnson City, TN

About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a Family Intervention Specialist for Intercept®, an evidence-based, intensive in-home program that works to keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification. The program serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, including abuse or neglect. Specialists provide services in families’ homes and communities—not in an office—and deliver strength-based support tailored to each family’s needs, using evidence-based mental health interventions and helping families develop parenting and communication skills. The specialist carries a caseload of four to six families and meets with each family three times a week at times convenient to them. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based on the availability of the youth and families served. The role includes driving up to 60–80 miles to meet families, with additional travel potentially required. Applicable mileage is reimbursed. Applicants must have a current, valid driver’s license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance. The listed salary is $52,000–$60,000 per year, based on education and clinical license. Youth Villages offers benefits and professional development opportunities; benefits are excluded for variable-status employees.
