About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a Family Intervention Specialist for Intercept®, an evidence-based, intensive in-home program that works to keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification. The program serves youth from birth to age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, including abuse or neglect. Services are delivered in families’ homes and communities rather than in an office. Specialists provide intensive, strength-based support tailored to each family, using evidence-based mental health interventions and helping families develop parenting and communication skills. The specialist carries a caseload of 4 to 6 families and holds individual and family sessions three times a week, scheduled around each family’s availability. The work includes ongoing assessment, collaboration with other providers and systems, crisis support, and documentation. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional. The role involves travel to families’ homes and communities, with mileage reimbursement for applicable travel. Salary is $52,000–$59,000 per year, based on education and clinical license.
