Family Intervention Specialist

YOUTH VILLAGES, INC.•Boston, MA
•$80,000 - $93,000

About The Position

Youth Villages seeks a Family Intervention Specialist for its Intercept® program, an evidence-based, intensive in-home service that works to keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or supporting reunification. The program serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, including abuse or neglect. Services are delivered in families’ homes and communities, not in an office, and use strength-based, evidence-based mental health interventions to support lasting change and develop parenting and communication skills. The specialist carries a caseload of four to six families and holds individual and family sessions three times per week, with appointments scheduled around each family’s availability. The role includes assessing youth needs, collaborating with providers and other stakeholders, providing on-call crisis support, and completing documentation in an electronic medical record system. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional. The position involves travel of up to 60 to 80 miles to meet families, with additional travel possible. Applicable mileage is reimbursed. Salary is $80,000–$93,000 per year, based on education and clinical license.
