About The Position

The Family History Department (FHD), or FamilySearch, International Talent and Culture team works to build a Christ-centered, future-ready workforce that strengthens leaders and aligns employee experiences with the mission of the Church. As an Intern on the FHD Talent and Culture team, you will help capture and represent the voice of the global workforce— translating employee feedback into meaningful insights that guide leaders, strengthen employee experience, and support the mission of the Church. You will also support the Talent and Culture team on a variety of projects, including contributing to the planning and execution of RootsTech and other annual or special events. In addition, you will have opportunities to engage in family history work and develop your personal research skills.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed (within 12 months) an undergraduate degree
  • Fields such as: data science, human resources, I/O or standard psychology, sociology, statistics, or related fields
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Interest in employee listening, research, and data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Excel, Power BI, or similar tools
  • Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Glint, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with different AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.)
  • Global work project experience
  • Ability to connect data to business or organizational outcomes
  • Experience synthesizing qualitative feedback into themes and insights
  • Comfort presenting insights or findings to others, including department leadership
  • Interest in Family History
  • Curious about people, data, and employee experience
  • Enjoy turning data into meaningful insights
  • Motivated by purpose-driven work that supports the mission of the Church

Responsibilities

  • Support workforce listening efforts (surveys, focus groups, interviews)
  • Assist with survey design, administration, and documentation
  • Help capture and synthesize employee feedback
  • Collect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data
  • Identify patterns and themes in workforce feedback
  • Translate findings into clear recommendations for leaders and teams
  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations
  • Help prepare summaries, reports, and presentations for leaders
  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • Support communication efforts to share what was heard and actions being taken
  • Contribute to strategic Talent and Culture initiatives based on organizational priorities
  • Support coordination and execution of cross-team projects
  • Support staffing and coordination for RootsTech planning and execution
  • Contribute to cross-team efforts for the Salt Lake City Temple Celebration
