About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to become a paid Family Caregiver for an elderly or disabled family member or friend. JEVS Care at Home can assist in applying for state waivers to cover services if the client is not currently on one. Eligible parents, guardians, family members, or friends can work as paid Caregivers. The client and Caregiver must both be 18 years of age or older. The company covers the cost of required clearances and Tuberculosis testing. Services are available in Allegheny, Butler, Washington, Beaver, Westmoreland counties, and any county within a 2-3 hour radius of Allegheny. Accepted waivers include Community Health Choices, ACT 150, and VA Aid & Attendance. Assistance is provided to start the waiver process if the client is not on an accepted waiver.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with assigned Client Care Manager and the ability to follow verbal and written communication.
• Must complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program successfully.
• Must pass background check/clearances as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support to a loved one in need of home care services.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Effectively communicate with assigned Client Care Manager.
• Complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program successfully.
• Pass background check/clearances as required by state regulations.
