JEVS Care at Home hires eligible parents, guardians, family members, or family friends to provide non-medical, in-home support to an elderly or disabled client. If a client does not have an accepted waiver, JEVS can help start the waiver application process and provide guidance. The client and caregiver must both be at least 18 years old. JEVS covers the cost of state-required clearances and tuberculosis testing. Services are available in Allegheny, Butler, Washington, Beaver, and Westmoreland counties, as well as counties within approximately two to three hours of Allegheny. Accepted waivers include Community Health Choices, ACT 150, and VA Aid & Attendance. Caregivers receive weekly pay, flexible scheduling, paid time off, and 11 paid holidays at time and a half. A Client Care Manager and 24/7 on-call support are available. Paid training may be provided when needed for specific client care, and EVV performance incentives are available. Health, dental, and life insurance are available after 60 days if the weekly-hours-worked requirement is met. JEVS states that it values inclusion, equity, and diversity and encourages qualified individuals with disabilities to apply. Reasonable accommodations are available.
