About The Position

This posting is for a 0.4 FTE Continuing & 0.4 FTE non-continuing Career Technical Education (CTE) Family Consumer Sciences (FCS) teaching position. A classroom teacher fosters and manages a positive learning environment; develops and implements classroom lesson plans based on standards and general district guidelines; establishes learning objectives; provides instruction; uses research-proven strategies and multiple data elements to adjust instruction; sets high expectations for student achievement; counsels, disciplines, and supervises students; evaluates student performance and progress.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Completion of a teacher's preparation program
Endorsement skills examinations
Valid Washington State Career Technical Education Teaching Certificate with Family Consumer Sciences endorsement

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience in teaching a culturally, racially and economically diverse student population in a large school system
Candidates who are new to the profession or moving from out of state, may apply if anticipated to obtain certification prior to the position start date.
