About The Position

Western Kentucky University (WKU) Owensboro is accepting applications to build a pool of qualified part-time faculty to teach graduate and undergraduate Sociology courses at its Owensboro, Kentucky campus. Classes may be offered during the day or evening. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Applicants must submit a letter of interest identifying the area in which they are qualified to teach, a curriculum vita or resume, and unofficial transcripts through the electronic talent management system. A pre-employment criminal background check is required under Kentucky state law.

Requirements

• A master's degree in Sociology or a closely related field is required to teach undergraduate-level courses.
• A terminal degree is required to teach graduate-level courses.

• Prior teaching experience.
• Experience with online education.
