About The Position

Western Kentucky University (WKU) is accepting applications to create a pool of qualified part-time faculty to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Psychology at its Owensboro, Kentucky campus. Classes may be offered during the day or evening. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

For undergraduate-level courses, instructors must have a master's degree in Psychology or a closely related field. Teaching graduate-level courses requires a terminal degree. Prior teaching experience and experience with online education are desirable.

A complete application must be submitted through WKU’s electronic talent management system and include a letter of interest identifying the area in which the applicant is qualified to teach, a curriculum vita or resume, and unofficial transcripts. Applicants will receive confirmation after successfully completing the electronic application process. Kentucky law requires public postsecondary institutions to conduct pre-employment criminal background checks.

Requirements

• A master's degree in Psychology or a closely related field is required to teach undergraduate-level courses.
