About The Position

American Career College is seeking a Radiography faculty member to provide class and/or clinical instruction in accordance with approved course syllabi and effective teaching methods. The faculty member supports students’ achievement of course and program objectives, retention, and preparation for entry-level healthcare positions. The role also involves lesson planning, student advising and tutoring, accurate attendance and grade records, ongoing professional development, and participation in college activities.

Requirements

• At least three years of occupational experience in the subject field or a closely related field.
• At least two years of full-time clinical experience in diagnostic radiography, included within the three years of occupational experience.
• At least one year of teaching experience in the subject areas taught, or prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills through a formal teacher education program, comparable training program, or formal in-house training program.
• Baccalaureate degree.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography.
• Current CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver class and/or clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods.
• Develop daily lesson plans; advise and tutor students; maintain current and accurate attendance and grade records.
• Remain current in the applicable program teaching field.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional growth activities in the respective field, and two annual in-service training sessions.
• Participate in college activities, including in-services, faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.
• Provide quality instruction that supports student achievement of course and program objectives, student retention, and preparation for entry-level healthcare positions.
