About The Position

The Department of Dermatology at the University of Minnesota Medical School and University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Medical Dermatologist to join their practice in Minneapolis–Saint Paul. The department is dedicated to providing excellent patient care, conducting investigational research, and training future dermatologists. They have established clinical programs and are involved in pioneering clinical trials. The department is led by Robert Dellavalle MD, PhD, MSPH, Head of the Department of Dermatology, and includes 17 full-time faculty members, as well as adjunct and volunteer faculty covering all dermatology sub-specialties. This is a full-time position with the rank commensurate with the applicant's experience on the department's Academic Track. The role involves clinical practice in general dermatology and a dermatology subspecialty, with a strong desire for research experience in areas such as clinical research, education, medical dermatology, or dermatoepidemiology.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited ACGME Dermatology residency or Internal Medicine/Dermatology residency.
Board eligible/certified in Dermatology.
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in the State of Minnesota.
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.

Nice To Haves

Research experience in dermatology topics including clinical research, education, medical dermatology, dermatoepidemiology, or other areas related to dermatological practice and education is highly desired.
Applicants may be in field of general dermatology or a combination of general dermatology and a subspecialty such as pediatric dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, etc.

Responsibilities

Clinical practice of general dermatology and a dermatology subspecialty.
