About The Position
Fairview is seeking a Casual Emergency Medicine Physician to join the Emergency Medicine Department at Fairview Lakes Hospital in Wyoming, Minnesota. The department includes 15 physicians and 7 APRNs/PAs. Physician shifts are 8–10 hours during the week and 10–12 hours on weekends. APRNs/PAs provide coverage from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. most days. Fairview Lakes Medical Center is a 65-licensed-bed facility with a 24-bed emergency department and a Level IV Trauma Center. The department sees an average of 77 patients per day, with annual emergency department volumes of 28,000; approximately 15% of visits are pediatric. The organization provides employer-paid Nabla AI clinical documentation support and uses the fully integrated EPIC electronic medical record. Wyoming is approximately 30 miles north of St. Paul and 33 miles northeast of Minneapolis. The area offers lakes, wetlands, open spaces, recreation, and convenient access to metropolitan dining, cultural venues, and sporting events.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Emergency Medicine training program.
- Board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association.
- Licensed or able to obtain licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
- Able to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
- Meet threshold criteria and qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
