About The Position
PeaceHealth is hiring a part-time, 0.5 FTE Emergency Medicine Physician at PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence, Oregon. Join an Emergency Medicine team focused on patient safety and compassionate care for the local community and visitors to the Oregon coast. The team includes board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians and works in a collaborative, supportive environment. The role provides single-physician coverage, with additional physician and advanced practice clinician (APC) coverage during peak hours. The emergency department has annual volumes of more than 12,000 and operates within a critical access hospital with access to a larger hospital and transfer center. Available services include laboratory, radiology, and respiratory therapy 24/7, as well as hospitalist, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, OB/GYN, and CRNA coverage 24/7. Peace Harbor is a Level IV Trauma Center with two trauma bays. Visa sponsorship is available. The position is based in Florence, a coastal Oregon community near the Siuslaw River, Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, forests, and Pacific coastline.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medicine care to patients in the Florence community and visiting tourists.
- Work collaboratively with emergency physicians, APCs, nurses, and technicians to support safe and compassionate care.
