Faculty HVAC
About The Position
Southeastern College faculty members provide targeted educational services that meet community needs. Faculty engage students, foster learning, model professionalism, and prepare students for professional careers. HVAC faculty leverage their expertise to deliver instruction through lectures, student engagement, individual assistance, assessment, and developmental feedback. The role includes preparing course plans and materials, delivering courses and facilitating labs, monitoring student progress and attendance, advising students, maintaining grade books, and submitting reports and evaluations.
Requirements
- Associate's degree.
- Four years of work experience in the specialty.
- Valid HVAC license.
Responsibilities
- Review the Course Control Document (CCD).
- Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, exams, quizzes, projects, and assignments.
- Coordinate with the librarian and bookstore to ensure course materials are available.
- Administer pre-tests and post-tests.
- Deliver lectures and facilitate labs.
- Grade projects and exams and provide progress reports and mid-term feedback.
- Maintain grade books and enforce departmental grading policies.
- Enforce classroom policies, including attendance, dress code, and food and drink rules.
- Monitor student progress and follow up as needed.
- Take daily attendance and enforce the attendance policy.
- Contact students who miss class and report attendance issues to the Dean.
- Answer student questions and provide one-on-one assistance or tutoring.
- Provide the Dean with weekly reports.
- Provide students with mid-term evaluations and submit final grades.
