About The Position

The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time basis in Building Construction courses. This role will teach theory and lab courses on residential and commercial building methods and techniques in the areas of concrete science, concrete estimating, and masonry principles.

Requirements

Associate's Degree In Concrete Science Technology, Masonry, Building Construction Technology, or related discipline.
In Residential Construction Management, Technology Education, or related discipline.
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff, faculty, and the public.
Developed organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multi-cultural issues.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Residential Construction Management, Technology Education, or related discipline.
Six (6) years trade experience in building construction, concrete and masonry, to include estimating and management experience in residential and commercial construction.
Teaching experience at the secondary or postsecondary level.

Responsibilities

Teach theory and lab courses on residential and commercial building methods and techniques in the areas of concrete science, concrete estimating, and masonry principles.
Provide coordination and supervision for instructional field projects.
Maintain accurate written records of student performance.
Maintain communications with School Administrators, as appropriate.
Requisition supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and maintenance as appropriate.
Assume responsibility for laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance.
Attend Department meetings as requested.
Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.
