About The Position

This entry-level yard maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the grounds, detailing machinery and other equipment, and assisting with maintenance and janitorial duties. The position is full-time, with an expected schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Saturday work may be needed, and overtime may be required as needed. The employee must be able to perform the position’s essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of independence.
General knowledge of and ability to operate lawn and garden equipment.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform the position’s essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Forklift operators must provide proof of previous training or receive training from United Ag & Turf before operating a forklift.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks carrying new equipment and palletized items, as well as store and dealer transfers.
Inspect incoming equipment during unloading and confirm serial numbers, manuals, and keys.
Help customers load and unload equipment for service.
Empty scrap metal and trash containers.
Load the scrap pallet dumpster.
Keep tires aired up on used equipment and equipment on the service line and sales lot.
Maintain oil dump stations.
Put away forklifts and shop-owned Gators nightly.
Occasionally maintain company-owned equipment, including forklifts, Gators, and company trucks.
Help technicians move non-functioning equipment from the service line to a bay.
Maintain the yard by spraying weeds, mowing, trimming weeds, and picking up trash.
Wash and detail equipment as needed at the wash bay.
Perform janitorial duties as needed.
