About The Position

The Facilities Service Manager ensures the safety, security, and condition of the Extra Space Storage portfolio meet the company’s highest standards. Working with the Divisional Vice President and site staff, and under the direction of the Director of Facility Services, the manager oversees capital projects across more than 100 stores, ranging from $1,500 to $1 million. The role maintains accurate project tracking and accounting records, contributes to annual facilities budgeting and five-year forecasting, reviews and approves work orders and invoices, and inspects properties to ensure safety, security, and facility standards. Travel is estimated at 50%, though it may vary with portfolio needs.

Requirements

At least 3 years of related experience in multi-site facilities management and/or project management.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

Select and supervise vendors and contractors.
Develop project scopes of work, solicit bids, supervise projects, ensure standards and results are achieved, and close out projects.
Provide operations staff with instruction on safety, security, and facility maintenance.
Maintain communication and follow-up with the leadership team and store staff.
Consolidate, communicate, and ensure successful resolution of regional facility management issues.
Oversee the successful execution of capital projects across more than 100 stores.
Maintain current and accurate records for project tracking and accounting using company computer systems.
Participate in the annual facilities budget and five-year forecasting process.
Review, track, and approve work orders and invoices for compliance with company standards, policies, budgets, and guidelines.
Physically inspect properties on a per-property, per-district basis to ensure safety, security, and facility standards are maintained.
Ensure expected results are delivered on time and within budget constraints.
