Requirements

• One year of professional experience in an organized accident prevention, fire prevention, environmental safety, or security program, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily fire, safety, and environmental programs for the institution
• Complete and submit required safety inspections and reports on schedule
• Plan and conduct fire drills and maintain related records
• Provide safety and environmental training for staff and inmates
• Maintain Right-To-Know materials, water system logs, and hazard control programs
• Investigate accidents and fires and recommend ways to prevent future occurrences
