About The Position

The Facility Operations role provides daily location operations support in an efficient and safe manner. The employee maintains location equipment and facilities for the benefit of IAS and its member owners, and supports the local agricultural community in Monona, Iowa.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude, including a basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and piping systems, and knowledge of the design, use, repair, and maintenance of various machines and tools.
• Demonstrated initiative, effort, and commitment to completing assignments efficiently.
• Ability to communicate information or ideas effectively in writing or orally.
• Ability to organize, adapt to change, and work on multiple tasks concurrently.
• Basic math skills.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, or legs.
• Trunk strength and ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously over time.
• Ability to climb and perform tasks involving repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

• Report to the assigned workplace at the specified time and notify the supervisor of late arrivals or absences before the start time.
• Maintain required licenses, physicals, and other qualifications necessary to perform job requirements.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Operate and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Assist with the distribution of farm supply products and grain when assigned.
• Notify appropriate personnel about needed shop tools, supply inventories, or replacement parts.
• Maintain cleanliness in the shop and warehouse areas where working.
• Participate in company-provided safety and job-related training programs.
• Follow company safety and conduct policies and procedures.
• Create a positive, professional image with customers and the community.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the location manager.
