About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance role is responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient facility. The position involves hands-on work, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors to address maintenance needs. Duties may vary slightly by location.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience operating and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• High proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• High proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues with facility systems and equipment.
• High proficiency in prioritizing and managing multiple maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Medium proficiency in OSHA standards, building codes, and workplace safety protocols.
• Medium proficiency in coordinating and overseeing work with contractors and vendors.
• Medium proficiency in verbal and written communication for reporting and team interaction.
• Medium proficiency with facility management software and basic computer applications.

Nice To Haves

• Trade school education or technical certifications.
• HVAC, electrical systems, or plumbing licenses or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential issues.
• Maintain and repair facility equipment, such as boilers, compressors, and generators, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and operational standards.
• Conduct safety checks on facilities and equipment to meet regulatory and company standards.
• Ensure fire safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers, function properly.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors on specialized maintenance and repair tasks, and oversee their work for quality and adherence to timelines.
• Support facility upgrades and renovation projects.
• Monitor and manage supplies and inventory for maintenance tasks.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and facility systems.
