About The Position

Performs required maintenance on the plant’s building, machinery, and equipment, and assists other maintenance personnel with mechanical maintenance. The role includes troubleshooting electrical and electronic components, completing assigned work orders, maintaining parts inventory, completing paperwork and data entry, and assisting with coworker training. The position requires a working understanding of written and spoken English, the ability to read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics, and good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. A high school diploma or higher is preferred but not required. At least five years of experience or documented training is required. The work area is not climate controlled and may reach temperatures from 30 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Physical duties include bending and lifting up to 70 pounds without assistance, continuously lifting 10 pounds for prolonged periods, standing for prolonged periods, and climbing stairs.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience or documented training.
• Ability to read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Working understanding of written and spoken English.
• Ability to read and use a non-metric measuring tape.
• Ability to count and perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to bend and lift 70 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to lift 10 pounds continuously for prolonged periods.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to climb stairs.
