About The Position

Performs required maintenance on the plant’s building, machinery, and equipment, and assists other maintenance personnel with mechanical maintenance. The role includes troubleshooting electrical and electronic components, completing work orders, maintaining parts inventory, and completing required paperwork and data entry. The employee must follow and help enforce safe work policies and procedures and maintain a safe, clean work area. The position also assists with training coworkers and performs other duties as assigned by management.

The work area is not climate controlled and may experience temperatures from 30 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. The role requires prolonged standing, stair climbing, bending, and lifting.

Requirements

• Read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Have a good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• At least 5 years of experience or documented training.
• Working understanding of written and spoken English.
• Read and use a non-metric measuring tape.
• Count and perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Bend and lift 70 pounds without assistance.
• Lift 10 pounds continuously for prolonged periods.
• Stand for prolonged periods and climb stairs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or higher is preferred but not required.
