About The Position

We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Maintenance Worker II who possesses the desire to care for Kentucky’s Veterans. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serving Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. This position has an approved Locality Premium of $3.66, based on the organizational structure and work county it is currently assigned to, in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).

Requirements

• One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the care maintenance and appearance of grounds and exterior of building.
• Repairs and maintains all grounds equipment, including mowers, trimmers, edger’s and other associated equipment.
• Removes trash and debris from facility grounds.
• Maintains plants, grass, trees, shrubs and flowers.
• Assists in snow and ice removal during inclement weather.
• Paints walls in resident rooms and other duties as assigned.
