Snohomish County’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Parks Division, is hiring a Facility Maintenance Worker II – Parks & Fair. This full-time, hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and supporting their community. You’ll be part of a team that keeps our parks and the Evergreen State Fair Park safe, welcoming, and ready for the public. We are filling a current opening and creating an eligibility register for future opportunities. This position is dedicated primarily to athletic field maintenance, with most work focused on mowing and maintaining ballfields throughout the Parks system. The successful candidate should expect to spend most of each workday operating commercial mowing and grounds equipment, trimming field edges, monitoring turf conditions, and helping keep athletic fields safe, playable, and visually consistent. While this role is classified as a Facility Maintenance Worker II and may occasionally assist with other grounds, facility, or operational assignments, candidates should understand that routine ballfield mowing will be the central and ongoing responsibility of this position. We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and committed to excellent customer service. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as much of this work happens in a public-facing environment. You should be comfortable working outdoors in all conditions and must hold a valid State of Washington Driver’s License. This position is full-time, scheduled for 40 hours per week, and may include overtime as outlined in the AFSCME Local 109 collective bargaining agreement. It comes with Snohomish County’s comprehensive benefits package. Assignments may be with the Evergreen State Fair Park, Parks Grounds crew, or Parks Facility Maintenance crew.
