About The Position
The Kentucky State Police has a wide range of facilities throughout the Commonwealth including Police Posts, Administrative Branches, Weigh Facilities, Headquarters, the Academy and Laboratories. Each require a skilled hand and attentive eye to ensure proper upkeep and maintenance. The Facility Maintenance Worker II will be responsible for the daily janitorial, maintenance and general repair required for an assigned facility and grounds.
Requirements
- One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Must be 18 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- Attention to detail
- Experience in carpentry, plumbing or electrical systems a plus
- General knowledge of hand and power tools, maintenance equipment, and lawn care equipment
Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance and janitorial duties for the assigned buildings, grounds and equipment
- Make general repairs to the plumbing, sewage and electrical systems.
- Make basic carpentry repairs to assigned facilities
- Operate machinery and equipment required to complete duties
- Assist skilled trade professionals when required
