Facility Maintenance Technician - First Shift - kdc/one Columbus
About The Position
kdc/one is hiring a hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep its facility safe, efficient, and operating at its best. The position supports facility equipment and building systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The first-shift schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with pay of $25–$29 per hour based on experience. The technician performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs facility equipment and systems, completes general repairs, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workplace. The role involves regular use of tools and powered industrial equipment, physical activity throughout the day, and wearing required PPE.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Skills in areas such as electrical work, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and troubleshooting.
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving mindset, and positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
- Familiarity with good manufacturing practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems.
- Complete welding, soldering, carpentry, and general facility repairs.
- Read procedures and work instructions to complete jobs safely and correctly.
- Operate tools and powered industrial equipment.
- Order parts and maintain up-to-date maintenance records.
- Support a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
- Provide maintenance support where needed as part of the team.
