About The Position

Support facility operations as part of a team by assisting with assigned activities and duties. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, overhead doors, dock levelers, and other mechanical systems. Perform incidental carpentry, masonry, painting, roof repairs, and plasterwork. During winter months, perform snow removal and spread salt. The schedule is Friday through Tuesday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED preferred; an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in manufacturing or facility maintenance is desirable.
• Six or more years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach overhead, and walk for eight hours each day.
• Ability to work in a self-directed work environment.

Nice To Haves

• EPA 608 Universal certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six or more years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete logs and other documentation related to work performed.
• Maintain, organize, control, and inventory supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Perform incidental carpentry, masonry, painting, and plasterwork.
• Assist with facility inspections and tours, provide preventive maintenance in accordance with the established program, and take corrective action on deficiencies.
• Assist with emergency service and repairs to mechanical and structural systems and equipment to meet service requests and maintain equipment in proper operating condition.
• Assist in maintaining and repairing utility systems and equipment.
• Perform minor carpentry, masonry, and metalworking repairs, installations, and maintenance.
• Assist the team with assigned activities and duties.
• Install or assist with installing and replacing equipment, structures, and subassemblies, including lubrication and cleaning.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, overhead doors, dock levelers, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform roof repairs and winter snow removal and salt spreading.
