About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Specialist is responsible for all repairs related to building systems. This role involves performing regular inspections, planning and scheduling maintenance, conducting repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems, and installing new equipment. The specialist will also maintain inventory, ensure adherence to safety regulations, diagnose and repair issues, coordinate with other departments, and document all maintenance activities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years of building maintenance experience.
Basic knowledge of building systems.
Knowledge of construction practices in Electrical, carpentry and plumbing trades.

Responsibilities

Perform regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues.
Plan and schedule repairs and maintenance tasks.
Conduct minor repairs on building structures and systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems.
Install and set up new equipment and machinery.
Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Diagnose problems and replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
Coordinate and communicate with other departmental staff regarding facility operations and maintenance issues.
Document all installation, repairs, and maintenance activities.
